So now the 2012 is here and time to plan for future gardens. We would like to thank our loyal customers for a good year once again. It is because of you that we are still around and hope to be around for many years to come. We dont have our normal plants at this time and I have updated the website with our new varieties of 2012! We do not sell the plants through the internet but we have many of the plants at Honeymoon Acres located on Hwy 57 just north of New Holstein.

Teddy

Hi, I'm Teddy. Although my name is Teddy, I am a female bird. I was born July 6, 1996 in a small zoo called Willy's. It was a very nice place but soon after my birth I was adopted by the McShaw family. They have loved and cared for me ever since. They taught me to mimic some of their words because I am a blue and gold macaw.

So being a macaw I am a long-tailed parrot. My ancestors are from South America and northwest Mexico. I have beautiful long, pointed wings of blue on the front side and under is gold. My feathers consist of blue, gold, green, and some black. The skin on my face is white, wrinkily, dry, and has small black feathers making a very awesome pattern on it. Then there is my tongue that is black, dry, but slick and smooth that helps me eat. My beak is arched, black and pointed sharp. With a strong tongue and beak, I can even break a walnut shell.

In life outside of my adoptive family, I would fly and have exceptionally long pointed sharp beak and claws. So if you do not want to get hurt please do not stick your fingers or any other body part into my home (cage), for I am curious and will bite at it unexpectedly. Also do not give me random things that you find in the greenhouse. I dont know what you are giving me and it could be harmful. I could get seriously sick. Instead of consuming harmful substances, I choose from an array of nuts, seeds, and fruits to eat. When I'm not eating I like to climb around with my two clamy and scaly feet consisting of four toes each with long, black claws. They are sharp claws so look out I might grab for you and it could hurt. I do lay eggs too, however, I have no partner so I do not have children.

I do not want to have a partner for I get more aggressive and could not be around the wonderful people that see me everyday. I enjoy talking to people and saying words like; hello, hi, bye, see you later, bah bye, honeymoon acres, how are ya, goo, what, knock it off, naughty, and many other words. I like to hum to songs sometimes when I'm sung to. I enjoy dancing and nodding my head left to right or up and down. I also pursue on chewing on wood and toys provided to me in my home.

I absolutely dislike getting my nails trimmed. It hurts and that's why you may notice that I don't like Joe. He would hold me as I got them trimmed and whenever I would see him it would bring me back to that moment of pain. I also do not enjoy when people tease me. For instance, if a person talks bad to me, gives me something I'm suppose to have, or sticks there finger or clothes in my house I get angry. Because my family loves me, they take care of any problem they may see or hear. I tend to yell when I'm angry or just for the heck of it but usually that scares people off. I can actually tell when people are scared of me. That is why i may snap or yell at people. The sound of a kid crying makes me yell even more.
